High Hopes for Hazelnuts

The Field Day saw a great turn-out, indicating a strong level of interest in the re-establishment of the hazelnut industry in BC. After hitting rock bottom with Eastern Filbert Blight (EFB) devastating orchards throughout the region between 2008 and 2015, recovery efforts in the form of new variety trials and awareness marketing are having a positive effect.
